Condom with ''teeth''...Ouch

Ehlers, a 62-year-old physician, lab researcher
and hematologist has
developed a female condom with jagged latex
hooks that latch onto the skin of an attacker.
Dubbed "Rape-aXe," the condom is inserted with
an applicator like a tampon, and it clenches a
man 's penis and causes "immense discomfort"
without drawing blood. It can only be removed
by a doctor..Wahala dey oh

Yes...I drive Keke Marwa and am a woman

Omoyeni Agbokere is a 35-year-old widow who
has taken up a task most women would frown at
as a means of survival.
'First lady' is what she is fondly called by her
colleagues at the motor park, a name which she
inscribes on the back of her tricycle (Keke Marwa).
Driving a tricycle is not what she ever dreamt of
as a career, but her husband's death forced her to
look for a means of survival.
"My husband died two years ago," she said. "
Before he died, I used to engage in some petty
trading because he was the one taking care of
most of the family's needs. When he died, I had
to look for a better business to sustain me and
my family."
The mother of two says she has not regretted
her decision because she makes enough to take
care of her family.
"I have two children, a boy of 12 and a girl of
eight. This Keke Marwa business, I see it as
something I can use to help my family because it
is bringing a daily income. The money I make
every day depends on how much I work for the
day. I make between N2,000 and N3,000
everyday."

Man beaten to death by family for watching world cup instead of Gospel show

Police say a South African
man who wanted to watch a World Cup match
instead of a religious program was beaten to
death by his family in the northeastern part of the
country.
David Makoeya, a 61-year-old man from the
small village of Makweya, Limpopo province,
fought with his wife and two children for the
remote control on Sunday because he wanted to
watch Germany play Australia in the World Cup.
The others, however, wanted to watch a gospel
show.
"He said, 'No, I want to watch soccer,'" police
spokesman Mothemane Malefo said Thursday.
" That is when the argument came about.
"In that argument, they started assaulting him."
Malefo said Makoeya got up to change the
channel by hand after being refused the remote
control and was attacked by his 68-year-old wife
Francina and two children, 36-year-old son Collin
and 23-year-old daughter Lebogang.
Malefo said he was not sure what the family used
to kill Makoeya.
"It appears they banged his head against the
wall," Malefo said. "They phoned the police only
after he was badly injured, but by the time the
police arrived the man was already dead. "
All three were arrested Sunday night, but
Lebogang was released on $200 bail Tuesday,
Malefo said. The other two are still being held in
custody.
Malefo said the mother and son will reappear in
the local Seshego Magistrates Court on July 27.
Story continues below
"He was always a happy man, never violent,"
Makoeya's nieces, Miriam and Anna, told the Daily
Sun newspaper. "On Saturday, we saw him the
last time at a funeral."

Congolese court condemns two Norwegian Nationals to death

Joshua French and Tjostolv Moland were charged with the murder of their driver after he was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head east of the northern city of Kisangani in May last year. The former soldiers were also charged with espionage.

"They have been condemned to death," Colonel Pierre Agabu, prosecutor at the military court, told Reuters by telephone.

It was not clear whether the executions would go ahead as death sentences have been commuted in Congo since the end of its 1998-2003 war.The written verdict is not likely to be prepared for two weeks.

"We are disappointed with the verdict because this condemns a British national to death," said a British embassy spokesperson of Joshua French, who has dual British and Norwegian nationality.

"We are in close contact with the lawyers and will raise any fair trial issues that they come across and will continue to make representations on Mr. French's behalf," added the spokesperson.

Congo's military Supreme Court had repealed the decision of an earlier trial, which also handed down a death sentence in September and demanded that Norway pay Congo $500 million in damages, and ordered a retrial citing procedural errors.
French's lawyer Guillaume Likwela said he was waiting to hear from his client whether he wanted to appeal the judgment.

Both men have said they are innocent and that their driver was killed when their car was attacked by gunmen.

Kelly Handsome holds Peace talks with Kennis Music

Months ago, Kelly Hansome revealed his dismay and eventual break down of the relationship with the C.E.O of the label he was signed on – Kennis Music in an interview and it has served as the pivotal for several other issues with Kennis Music producer responding, vehemently. Kelly Hansome was also threatened via SMS after the release of ‘Catch me if you can’ song online and the name ‘Kelly Hansome’ was synonymous with controversy as the song directly spoke to the C.E.O of Kennis Music and Primetime Entertainment, Kenny Ogungbe. Kelly Hansome also made use of the avenue to tell and address his grudge with rapper M.I. who in an earlier song of his mentioned Kelly Hansome insinuating he would rather ‘talk to the man – Kenny Keke Ogungbe instead of Kelly.’ which Kelly hansome finds disrespectful.
The reason for the conflict with Keke was Kelly Hansome wanting out of his contract with Kennis Music and the executives at the record label not ready to as Kelly Hansome is ’still owing them money” as a source close to them informed.
Kenny Ogungbe in an interview said: “Here was a young man we brought back into the country, released his songs, housed him, shot his videos and what we get in the end is unwanted publicity as a result of his actions”.
Days ago, There was a meeting between Kennis Music executives and Kelly Hansome to resolve the conflicts and this morning, Kelly Hansome issued an apology via his Facebook group to the Kenny Ogungbe and Kennis music.
In a phone conversation, Kelly Hansome informed he was in no position to tell the outcome yet but the outcome seem favourable as it would be revealed on Kenny Ogungbe’s Primetime Africa TV and radio show. “The outcome of the meeting would be announced on Primte Time Africa [TV Show] this friday” Kelly Hansome informed. He also reveals a possible distribution agreement might be reached with Kennis Music for his new album ‘Names of Noise Maker’.
While he has also made peace moves to the Mo’ Hits who he referred to in his ‘igwe kom kom’ track, he is yet to do so with Chocolate City or M.I. Kelly Hansome reveals that peace move was made to the Wande Coal and D’banj’s Mo Hit Camp which was facilitated by a cousin of his. When asked about his situation with rapper M.I., he reveals that M.I.’s lyrics referring to himself and Kenny ‘Keke’ Ogungbe was disrespectful and remains a personal situation with M.I. and not Chocolate city, they still have a situation.
“I would definitely release a rap album, We all once rapped and battled” Kelly asserted and would disclose details in ‘due time’.

Taliban Hang 7-Year-Old Boy Accused Of Being A Spy

A 7-year-old boy accused of being a spy was hanged by Taliban militants, according to a report.
The child was allegedly put on trial by the militant group and later found guilty of working for Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai’s government, reports the Daily Mail.
Karzai called the act a “crime against humanity.”
“I don’t think there’s a crime bigger than that that even the most inhuman forces on earth can commit,” Karzai said.
The child was publicly hanged in the Taliban stronghold of Helmand province.
“A 7-year-old boy cannot be a spy,” Karzai added. “A 7-year-old boy cannot be anything but a seven-year-old boy, and therefore hanging or shooting to kill a seven-year-old boy… is a crime against humanity.”

Texan Couple jailed for inslaving Nigerian widow for 8 years

A US federal judge sentenced a Texas couple Friday for forcing a widowed Nigerian mother of six to serve in domestic servitude, holding her as a slave for over eight years.
Prosecutors said the victim was recruited in Nigeria and lured to the United States with promises she would receive a salary and child support. In the end, she only received about 300 dollars for her years of work.
Upon the woman's arrival in Arlington, Texas, Emmanuel and Ngozi Nnaji allegedly confiscated her passport, isolated her in their home and forced her to work long hours with virtually no pay.
Court documents also showed that Emmanuel Nnaji, 50, sexually assaulted the victim and that the couple refused to grant her request to return to Nigeria. A Catholic priest eventually rescued her from the ordeal.
During her years of servitude, the woman is said to have cared for the Nnaji's children day and night, and cooked and cleaned without a single day off.
She was also prohibited from leaving the home without supervision, speaking with her children on the phone unsupervised and from making friends or speaking with the Nnaji's friends.
US District Court Judge John McBryde sentenced Emmanuel Nnaji, a naturalized US citizen, to 20 years in prison. His 40-year-old wife, a Nigerian citizen, was sentenced to nine years behind bars. The couple was also ordered to pay 305,957.60 dollars in restitution.
The seven-count indictment handed down against them in February included charges the couple committed and sought to commit forced labor, harbored and sought to harbor a foreigner for financial gain, placed the victim in servitude and made false statements to an FBI agent.
"The involuntary servitude and mistreatment that this victim endured is intolerable in a nation founded on freedom and individual rights," Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez said in a statement, as he condemned this example of exploiting "vulnerable victims" for "modern day slavery."
FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Casey Jr said "the sentencing in this case sends a strong message to those who are engaged in this heinous form of modern day slavery that this practice will not be tolerated in our community."
